different color than what? its sterling silver. after sterling silver sits for a long time, it develops what they call pantina, making it look vintage..some people want it kept that way, some will clean it. if i cleaned this right now, it was be very silver and look like new. i have silver cleaner, but i dont clean sterling silver that has developed a pantina, i leave that up to the buyer.
