can you resize sterling silver do you know

I'm sorry but I am quite the ignoramous concerning jewelry. I've seen comments before where people indeed assure others that sterling silver can be resized. I would think a professional would need to look at each piece of sterling to check out whether or not that could be done.

ok that sounds like a good answer cause I have seen those comments as well and was not sure about it either this is a pretty ring but 6 is a little tight

I understand. I find rings I love in size 6, go ahead and get them, only to find I have a tough time finding a finger that can wear it comfortably. Sometimes on a hot day it works for my pinky but my marital ring finger would work best and it is reserved for my wedding rings. Still, it is hard to resist some rings but I know me....I'll never get them resized so they might all end up back on Listia ;D

that is funny my ring finger must be smaller also cause I can get a 6 1/2 on there but on my other hand the same finger it is a struggle to get it on and off lots of dish soap and pain

Well my left hand is smaller than my right because I can wear 1/2 size to a size smaller on my left equivalent fingers but they change with the temperature hot makes big and cold makes small. When I go for a walk my hands swell. So I go from a 5 to a 9.5 lol since I have ten different fingers. Also I have bigger joints the ring has to pass over to get where it sits that seems much smaller. What a pain rings are to wear. But I like to look at them anyway. I decorate my vanity with hands smothered in jewels ;D (most of them costume of course)

to go from a 5 to 9.5 that is a lot of swelling you have edema does it do that all the time mine 0nly my left foot and ankle are swollen but I just had surgery so doc says it is all normal but my left hand is about 1/2 size smaller well they say we are one size on side same with our chest you know

I have had multiple sterling, .999 and .925 rings sized over the years. Sometimes twice when I hand them down to my daughter ...so Yes they can be sized as long as they are not "plated"

Thanks so much. I have heard that many times although I have never personally had a ring resized. I've heard the design of the ring is taken into consideration also. Sometimes people say the stamp has been destroyed because of resizing. But I think solid silver and gold can be resized by a jeweler. ;D

I agree with Kathleen273 that this ring can be re-sized. Usually 2 sizes up or down. This is really gorgeous!! Your fan & watching :)
