The winner of this auction will receive the civil war era 1865 Three Cent Piece shown the attached photos. The coin is not in great condition, however all details can be clearly seen. Coins like this were most likely metal detector finds. Any years buried in the earth and exposure to soil acids probably explain the surface pitting. Still, if you do not have one like this or you are a civil war collector, this will probably sell cheap.
