Lucky Winner will receive over 100 seeds! The last big win because I'm running low on these guys! Harvested locally, Scarlet Sage plants are totally easy to grow and naturally attract hummingbirds and butterflies.

Scarlet sage or Blood Sage or ‘Salvia coccinea’ flowers are a velvety red and naturally attract hummingbirds and butterflies (but not deers!) This species does well right through the hottest weather, with or without water, tolerating drought. Scarlet Sage prefer well-draining soil and does best in full sun or mostly sunny locations, but will do OK with intermittent shade. This is a perennial in warmer climates and an annual where winter temperatures stay below freezing for more than a few hours at a time.

Scarlet sage reach 2-3 feet tall with bite-sized showy red flowers about an inch long, arranged in loose whorls along the upright stem and bloom continuously from early summer to first frost.

I skillfully collected these seeds myself all last month, and now I’d love to give some away!
