sorry, I was away for a few days and couldn't see the comments. Since the auction ends tomorrow and I don't have time today to go to the Post office, I suggest that the winner sends me their address and if the shipping fees I get from the Post office is too expensive, you are free to refuse the teapot and ask for a refund which I will accept. Hope this way is ok with all of you. Otherwise, I can always try to go to the Post office tomorrow around 6-7pm to get a quote. Thx for your understanding.
It's a fantastic tea pot...I wish everyone would offer free shipping..It would make the bidding go higher.. I believe this tea pot would have easly gone for 2000+ credits. Maybe offer a flat, set shipping fee, say $10.00 would also work. Just a thought.
Thx for your advice, but since I don't know how much the shipping fees will be after I wrap the teapot securely and that I am not even sur it will not break in the shipping (I kind of don't trust the way they handle fragile items), I don't take any risks for free shipping. I guess the fees are around 10-20$ CAD, but I'll ask the Post office and let the winner know tomorrow. He/she can then accept to pay or ask for a credit refund. I'll also look for an insurance in the shipping, just in case anything happens...
I was told by a Listian user that it was a highly collectible teapot since it is a Sadler, I don't really know anything about it, but I suppose it is great quality since it belonged to my aunt whom I know to be picky on these things...
So I went to the Post office and for the postal code 04224 it would cost 25,41$ CAD to ship. I guess it will be around the same price for the other places. It is a little high because I put a lot of wrapping paper and with bubbles wrapping too in a box to maximize the protection.
