Description
The listing, 15 Pairs of Gemstone Beads. Beautiful! has ended.
There are 15 pairs of Gemstones for jewelry making. They have never been made into jewelry. You will get exactly what you see. Colors may vary because of computer screen colors.
There is moss agate, Japanese puzzle stone, carnelian, cubed rhodonite, and others that I am not sure of.
I always take pictures of what I am auctioning off. My motto is and always has been; WYSIWYG
ActivePatriot you are being a bit rediculous, you don't have to write a book about what you are sellng here on listia, she said she was selling paired gemstone beads, saying assorted gemstones would have been suficcient, stop trying to to police the forums, you are not a moderator, stop acting like it, you are just a member like everyone else, so stop posting on peoples boards if you don't believe them/ have to post negitive stuff. Didn't you ever learn if you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all? Im sure you wouldn't want constant critisism on your auctions, so what if shes new? if you are unhappy with you purchase listia can refund you your credits...
I will be bidding on this lot, and thank you so much for offering to ship to Canada.
Welcome to listia wow i can't beleive people would lecture you that way! ridiculous. i think your listing is fine, if active patrol cant tell what he is bidding on, he should just ask the seller. i have had nothing but nice people here, until i saw his comment!! oh well, there isone in evry crowd! lol take it easy.. i am fanning you and bidding. oh yes the brown iredescent ones are tiger's eye!!!!!
Thanks for the encouragement I really needed it! I had thought about quitting but I have much too much time invested. And I just purchased some nice small boxes so I thought I had better hang in there! Thanks again for your encouragement!
Bully? Moderate? What low responsibility and awareness levels some of you must have to criticize me for asking legit questions, info all bidders need, like what the h... the person is selling. You all see what the bidding is up to and it's a lot of credits! If you don't mind buying blind, fine, but don't attack me for wanting to know what the stones are! You're out of line. And get yourself back to an English class, while you're at it.
This auction is going so well, I will include two or 3 more sets of gemstones. I have many beautiful sets for earrings. I love agates, so I will add 6 agates. 3 pairs. Thanks to all who are bidding.
It seems mistylavender is not aware of at least two sellers on Listia who sell nothing but glass, cz, but call the stones all sorts of false things like: diamond, blue topaz, garnet, etc, and rake in huge numbers of credits. They're con artists and one of them has been auctioning fake gemstones for about a year, probably longer (don't remember exactly and as I am completely honest, will not give a time frame I don't know to be the exact truth). I'm not the bad apple on Listia, the fraudulent sellers are and I am responsible enough to work to get them exposed and gone. It was hard work and time consuming to get the worst one off Listia and though she is not currently selling here, she could come back if Listia does not do their due diligence to know she is a thief and liar. I wish Listia would reply to emails giving them proof they can easily check, to let the whistleblower know they are checking and if the bad seller is ousted or what...and there is a second and possibly third 'gemstone' seller here who is also selling fakes. I had every right to ask questions about your stones: you're new, you named only 4 out of 15 stones you're auctioning, etc. It is the responsibility of each Listian to do their part to make sure it is a safe marketplace. I singled you out because you are new, one, and two because you gave insufficient information about what you're selling and that is a breach of Listia rules. I appreciate your having corrected the missing info, and hope you can learn more about the identity of each stone. So far we have eight now and I thank you for that. The other seven named would be helpful to you as well and bring you more bids. Good luck to you with this auction and hope you stay with us here at Listia! I apologize for any lack of tact on my part, it's not my strong suit. I say it like it is and if that is too strong for some, man up. And raise your responsibility level and do your part as a Listian.
All the stones that are listed on this listing are real stones, none are glass. I do not have the receipts for these as it has been a while since I bought these. I did identify a few more-the molted square ones are jasper. The pretty pink and blue ones are dyed crazy lace agate. The green blue squares are adventurine. The darker red beads are red jasper. Bid with confidence these are real gemstones not plastic and not glass. Thank you
My dear Listian, You in no way offended me! I appreciate your comment in response to mine. I am upset by Listia and they know that. eBay, for instance, takes immediate action in investigating any wrongdoing and we deserve the same. I know Listia is not a million dollar business but it has a responsibility to its users to protect us better than it has or just warn us in front that we are on our own when it comes to the honesty or lack of it from Listia sellers. Thanks for writing Rosie, appreciate it.
I don't understand why I am the one you choose to get their attention. I am new to listia and I am not even sure they read comments. I agree with you on everything. Still trying to find names of gemstones. Some I got at Rings n things Bead tour too.
I purchase most of my stones from either Rings n things or Fire Mountain. I have a box of real gemstone beads that I had in a divided case. When I changed my store around I dumped all those stones into a box. Well now I have the job of looking in my catalogs and finding the names of the gemstones. I do not have the receipts because I have no idea where in my tax folders they are. So.. I will get busy and find the names to everything-thanks for the interesting comments, I am not trying to 'scam' anyone, I was just giving some people the opportunity of making earrings out of these without having to buy a strand of them. I am sorry I seemed to offend you. Well I will get busy looking at my catalogs. Again, thanks
Hi, My welcome to you to Listia also! It's a fun site. You are auctioning 15 pairs of 'gemstones' in this auction but can name only 4 pairs. May I ask how you know the remaining 11 pairs are real gemstones? Saying you trust your source is helpful but not reliable unless your source is someone with a big reputation to consider like jtv or Michael's. Seeing as it costs nothing to post photos on Listia how about photos of the packaging or receipts? That would be the ultimate proof and one I wish all 'gemstone' vendors on Listia would use, even have to do. Gemstone is a word too loosely used here, when it in fact is a very specific term for stones from mother Earth, natural, not manmade. I am sorry if I am tactless but as a frequent bidder and seller on Listia I need to know I am bidding on gemstones and not fakes. I can't afford to pay a jeweler to assess every gemstone from Listia, nor can I afford to waste my precious credits for glass. I would hate to leave Listia for good because someone doesn't like my honest, not accusatory remarks, but am on the brink of that because Listia is not doing enough to investigate the bad guys here in a timely manner and get rid of them, regardless of the number of times they have to refund credits caused by consistent dishonesty of some sellers! Red flags are red flags and ignoring them does nothing to protect the vast majority of good Listians who deserve better. Another thing I am worried about as regards this site is Listia's idea that the word gemstone is a generic term when in fact it is a word with very specific meaning. Used generically it's misleading, not honest. I hope Listia gives this comment the attention it deserves. They are not paying attention to the emails I and others are sending them, at least in a reasonably timely manner.
