The listing, 16 Vintage linens crochet doilies hankies tablecloths has ended.

Well, I just can't hold onto everything, can I? Our Mom passed away recently and there's just SO much of my grandmother's and great grandmothers that she held onto. My great grandmother was born in 1888 and my grandmother was born in 1908. Most of these things were made by them during their and my Mother, who was born in 1927, when she was a child. The pretty paper doily in the center of the big white crocheted doily is new and I use them a lot to cover up age spots or little tears or stains :) These are VERY old and do have some of the afore mentioned flaws. MOST are in beautiful vintage condition.

Here is a list of the items:
8 Hankies
4 Doilies
1 Crocheted & linen table scarf
1 crocheted collar w/ pearl closure
1 linen embroidered table cloth (this does have a hole in it as pictured. Still lots of use in it using a doily or hankie to cover it :)
1 round scalloped paper doily

This is the FIRST of MANY of my VINTAGE LINEN AUCTIONS and I am going to offer FREE SHIPPING to see how it goes :) I have 1000's of pieces to offer in the future so tell your friends who might collect these items :) Give them as gifts, make your own craft projects out of them, etc. HINT: People in nursing or assisted living homes LOVE to get these as gifts. They bring back such sweet memories for them :) :)

How wonderful that ya'll are doing this!! I am SO SO sorry for your tragic losses. How horrible to have to go thru that TWICE!!! I cannot TELL you how MUCH grief counseling through Alive Hospice help me during my recovery after losing MY sweet daughter! 5 years ago! Tami was born w/ spina bifida and was 34 years old. Her death was not related to her disability at all. she was diagnosed w/ cancer and was gone w/in 2 months. she was w/ us @ home all her life and we miss her EVERYDAY! :) I knit and spin and weave a little and design patterns and sew a bit...anything to do with fibre.... I am sure to have a go at it, or am working with it already...:) if it can be done with needle and thread, I most likely do it :)

THAT would be AWESOME! It would make me feel great to know someone would care for it as much as we all did :) After Mom passed we all (7 of us) divided things up and kept what we wanted to keep and pass on. after that I got a HUGE box in the mail (like 30 x24x24) and it was STUFFED w/ all of these kinds of things :) So keep watch and tell yer friends ( maybe you can get more credits by having them sign up and buy/sell on Listia too :) TTYL :)

It takes at least 5 years to even begin to get on with life after losing a child. You think life will only get better from here on out and then BAM!!!!!!! All over AGAIN!!! OMGoodness! I write patterns. It's that simple. With such clear stitchery (and few people manage it, your family were amazing stitchers) I can look over the items and recreate the design or come up with something similar! I especially love the flared end- pocket stuffer doily. I wish the pictures were clearer of that one.

Did you know that long narrow one is a pocket stuffer? It has flared ends so it is folded in half and tucked down in the pocket to help make the outfit pretty. I lurve that soo much!
