Don't know why they are cut like that? This stuff was my Grandma's.

I really could use the rick rack. I need it for a craft project for the girls in my church kid's group. We are making "memory books" at a sleep-over. It has lots of questions about favorites (including Bible story & scripture!), friends (and why they are special to them.), etc. to answer and then paste in a spiral notebook. We will also take photos and print them out for them to paste in the books. And we will cover some subjects that night - like who is your BEST friend, etc. I found some peace symbol fabric on cleareance and as ouf motto for the group is "Peace In" - as opposed to "Peace Out!", I thought that would be so super cool. But I need something to trim the edges of the notebook and lace just doen't "work", so I said RICK RACK!!!! And it's HARD to find in the quanity I need. This would be perfect!!! Thanks!

If I win, I'd love a story about ur mother to share with the girls about the orgion of the rick rack. It was on ALL the dress my mother made us, yet she had THREE girls and didn't teach a ONE of us to sew!!!

I'm so glad you won my flannel auction! Now I really need to win this one, as I will place all your Grandmother's item in a glassed type shadow box. It will be displayed in my sewing room and will be passed on to others in my family... I will place your story as a subtitle . I hope I'll still be sewing the day I'm called to go to Heaven!! :)

Well it wasn't my Mothers but my Grandma's. When we cleaned out her house in 2000 before she went to the Nursing Home because she had Alzheimers. Each of us Grandkids got to pick stuff that we wanted. None of the others wanted so I got. I do Sew a little. But I have no use for it so there is no sense in keeping it. That would be so Cool if you could send picks of there projects for me. if you win. My Grandma had 5 kids and hardly any money. So yes she did sew alot. She died last yr. She must have Loved to sew because she on her death bed she was holding the blanket and was feeling with her fingers and then with the other she was sewing. She must have remembered something. God Bless her. :)
