Buffalo's first round pick in 1997, Smith rushed for over 6800 yards in his career. His stellar sophomore campaign included 1124 yards on the ground and 8 touchdowns. He got most of his popularity, however, after he joined the New England Patriots in 2001, Tom Brady's first season as QB. Smith gained a career high 1157 yards in 2001 and Tom Brady did his thing, and Smith earned the first of two Super Bowl rings with the Patriots, gaining 92 yards and 83 yards in the two Super Bowls, including a TD in the Super Bowl XXXVIII win over Carolina.
