Hi I am not sure I will look and see if I can find a year. I really did not know they had a year on the upgrade I had windows vista installed and I ended up with two upgrades with my computer. I will get back with you .

I believe you would need a different windows disk. On this one it is an upgrade of windows vista.......

Did u purchased it bc when I brought my PC it came with the same case,CD & info.
However when I inserted the disk it came up that I had to purchase the upgrade
