Description

The listing, 1929 Canadian Small Cent has ended.

As I promised a few days ago I am beginning my listing of an almost complete set of Canadian small cents today. If you are into these you know that they ran from 1920 to 2012 when Canada stopped minting one cent coins and began pulling them from circulation and melting them down for recycling. The only dates that will not be included in this series of listings are 1922, 1923 and 1925 so you can see that there are many better date coins that WILL be listed. The '22, 23 and '25 coins I have in a complete set which also includes many of the varieties that were produced in the various years.

For the right offer I could be persuaded to part with the complete set. The high bidder will receive the coin(s) described in the title and pictures shipped to them free via USPS first class mail. As you can see I'm starting at both ends and will meet somewhere in the middle.

All Listia rules, including verified address apply, and I can only ship to the United States.

Thanks for stopping by and good luck with all your bids and listings.

Actually, to me, it almost looks like there was some object on either the planchet or die when the coin was struck that caused the appearance. I am far from being an expert, that's just what it looks like to me.

Little tiny polar bears climbing on the devices of the coin! lol No, I really don't know what that is. It doesn't look like corrosion to me. If I didn't know better I would almost think it was zinc showing through a copper coating, but I know that's impossible. I also can't decide if there is a lamination error on this coin or if some damage was done to it during circulation. Thanks for your comment. A little humor is always good.
