Description

The listing, Pandora (6-21-6) has ended.

Pandora, new tales of the vampires, by Anne Rice. "Pandora is a superheroine: beautiful, of course, but also smart, fearless, independent, lusty, resourceful, and so pumped up at the end of her breathless narrative, she takes off for New Orleans, hot on the trail of Lestat and Marius." 344 page, like new paperback. ISBN 0345422384.

Please note: We post a postage amount for each auction; you should expect to pay that amount. Please do not ask us for free shipping; if you are going to be upset because we charge shipping, please do not bid. If this sounds "harsh" please read the bad feedbacks posted for me by people who have not listed as many auctions in a year as I have had won in a single day. We ask that when your wins arrive that if there is a problem you contact us so we can solve the problem. Otherwise, please post feedback so we know you got the item; we can then post feedback for you. We prefer postage payment by PayPal (hotsprgs2@aol.com); we accept checks, USPS forever stamps, cash if you insist.

HI! Nice listing!! Would you accept a PRE-Paid polyshipper w/tracking for mailing?? I use stamps.com and it gives me the ability to do these kinds of transactions --done hundreds of them and they work great. It has tracking to put into the listing once shipped and covers both buyer and seller :)
THANX!

I have not had this offer before, but sounds good to me. Being old and senile, I believe in trying anything once!!! I think it is stamps.com that I thought about using once; if it is, they have a monthly fee and I figured I could get to the post office cheaper as I pass there almost every day anyway. If this is the best for you, go for it. I know I am not making any headway to getting my listings back up over 100 where they are supposed to be; it seems I managed to list 3-6 and my bidders win 4-8!!! Not complaining, but such good books sitting here waiting to be listed and I just can't manage yet. Said all that to tell you that we do combine shipping, so if you are watching two or three, win one and want to wait for the others, I have no problem with that. It can save you a little postage and me some time and wrapping expense. Also, this area has two weekly auctions, and almost every time there are boxes of books....going cheap. We also have several charity stores and of course church rummage sales, estate sales, etc. I don't make many yard sales as there are, literally hundreds every month. Enough rambling, just wanted to let you know we try to make our bidders happy. Jay

LOL!!! You made me laugh Jay!
It's really a great way to ship if you're the buyer! I do it all the time for everything from clothing, shoes, books, etc. It's a no fuss, no muss kind of thing --you put the item in the poly bag, peel off the strip and seal it up, and put the tracking # on the auction link before you mail --easypeasy ;)

Yes it's the stamps.com that you're thinking of. There is a small monthly fee, but for me there's no wear and tear on my vehicle or extra gas $$, I get commercial rates for postage --you're paying retail rates and it's higher and I get free tracking, where retail makes you pay for it. The monthly fee more than pays for me not going to the PO --it's not close to me and my mail carrier picks up anything that I put out for him. Or you can call for a pick up too :)

Wish I lived in that area!! I'd be shopping like that all the time LOL! My daughter practically lives at Half Priced Book Store keeping them in business!! She literally has a library in her home!! LOL!
I will check out the others you have listed and I may even PM you with a list of books I'm looking for LOL!!

If you have some books you really want and have not been able to find, drop me a list email (hotsprgs2@aol.com). I have several regulars that do this, and I do find a few along. Another reason for charging postage....I even pocket a few pennies along and apply that to purchases. Have to admit, the few I pocket do not seem to make up for the few that I lose 'cause I did not post a higher postage amount. I may rethink stamps.com. But the commercial rate would have to amount to something since I told you that I pass one of the POs almost everyday so the gas savings would not be a factor. Be glad you don't live here. Especially because of the two great auction houses, selling from antiques and great stuff to really great junk!!! And then a multitude of auctioneers selling out estates! I have played the game for over 50 years (including working for several: everything from ring man to cashier and in between.....just no auctioning!) It becomes a terrible disease. You just "have to go" and not going to buy anything is an out right lie!!! Unfortunately there are only two cures for the auction disease: bankruptcy or death! And I am close to both! That's why the double car garage is stacked over six feet high (mostly boxes of books and good junk), with a path through one of them back here to the "office/ bookroom", the three room apartment down here is stacked to the ceiling, this room (was a new, nice guest bedroom and bath!) is so full I can barely get to the computer, and the ten rooms upstairs are so full there are just paths trough my junk. The whole town is waiting for my death and the BIG estate sale! OK, enough rambling. I could have posted a book or two while writing this book!!!! Later, Jay.

And having fun, of course. Love to see the watching! I still don't know what the deal is about these badges, but Listia seems to like them!!! Need to check and see if I have a few watchers registered now.
