Questions & Comments
I love this piece!!! Dont listen to any negativity its a great auction and a beautiful piece.
From my knowledge 90% of Jade bought in the world is not real. Mary Lou rindinger, is a archeologist/ anthropologist who rediscovered the maya Jade quarry's in Guatemala w/ her husbAnd. If you want real Jade, it comes from Guatemala, Jade is actually more valuable than a Diamond. I've traveled through 7 different country's and all Jade I've ever bought has been fabricated. Except for the Jade I've bought from Guatemala. If you do find real Jade especially in the asian area of the world, it would be so expensive you may not way to pay for it, the reason for real Jade being so high is because it usually illegally smuggled from out of Guatemala. Mary Lou Works very hard at keeping illegal Jade trade down. The likelihood of this being real Jade is very very slim.
Everybody's an expert now! Ok you got me its fake. I would really like to know what your source of info is. I performed several tests on the 4 pieces of jade that I have and I'm quite convinced that these pieces are in fact REAL. Jade is mined in 7 different countries not only in Guatemala. If you don't wanna bid that's fine but don't think you know this is fake just on what you think is true.
Hey, don't let no gooder's on here dis way you from posting auctions. I will definitely be bidding on this whether it's real or not. It's beautiful! Just block those people and then their out of your life for good. I hope you will post more auctions of what you have! I'll be keeping a look out for them! Thanks!
I really appreciate that. I just get tired of all the negative comments. Then when I get a comment like yours it always lefts the spirit and shows me why I keep at this!!! Thank you!!!
I never said nephrite was not real. I said it was jade's cousin. I ask because nephrite jade and jadeite have completely different worth and not every one know. Jadeite could be sold for millions, the imperial ones. And nephrite are usually considered fake because people pretend it is jadeite. It seems that you are pretty mean about answering a basic question, which means you do not know the orgin, have something to hide, or that is your personality. Whatever it is, I am out. Thank you for the condescending answer and good luck. By the way, no one ever said you did not research your stuff either. Take a chill pill. Lol
I'm not mean at all. Like I said I research things very well before listing. I however did not know white jade can sell for over $3000 an ounce. I've checked the pieces I have over very well. They seem to be real. That's the best I can do. If that's not good enough I don't know what is. There's always someone in the bunch that has to knock an item to try and get everyone else scared to bid. So thanks and good bye.
FYI both nephrite and jadeite are jade. Nephrite is the older type and mostly mined out now in China. It has a fibrous look. Nephrite from China was most likely mine in XinJiang. Nephrite not from China is possibly New Zealand. Still jade. Jadeite has been around since 1800s and is mine in Guatemala and the U.S. and other places. Jadeite has a harder more lustrous look and comes in more colors. Still jade. Both are valuable and a traditional stone worth having. Happens to be my favorite. Good luck.
I love this piece. I wonder what some would say about my piece? Don't let the so called experts detour you from listing. Positive thoughts always. Good luck on your auction, I see this piece making you allot of credits.
What is the size please and can you stand it by something so I can see size comparison. Thank you and it looks great don't worry about ignorant people ... It seems like everyone has an opinion now, they do a little Google for ten minutes and they are all experts lol great piece
It is almost 2" high and 2.3" long. I will try and add a photo of it next to something a little later! Thank you for commenting. I know its a great piece when I have so many great sellers commenting such as you!!!
Just remember look at your watchers lol.... As long as your honest, you do the best you can, then being a seller will work out for you... Don't worry about all the haters.... A lot of people have all these schemes about making slick comments on sales lines to try and influence the bids to their favor. I tell everybody if you have something to say negative you message me in private. And if they violate that I block them and block their message .... You don't need negative people buying your stuff they just cause problems. Good luck pogo I'll watch and see maybe even bid. I love jade and dragons
I have a mermaid that if anyone knows how to clean , I would love to know. DO NOT let these so called know - it -alls discourage you. They just want a cheap bid for an AWESOME item.
I recommend in the future that you have your items professionally tested if you want to get the most credits for them. Plus, that'll shut up all the naysayers. Beautiful dragon though regardless, unfortunately I think it would be wasted being with me in a dorm room. Wishing you luck with your auction though.
That is a legit question. If you do a quick search, there are tons of ways to test jade ,which means that it could be mistaken for something else or not real. GIA also accepts it for testing purposes. I just want to know how do you know it is real jade, or is it nephrite, a close cousin, or some other rock that looks like it. Thank you. I like your auction, so in order to bid high, I need to understand your source. Because looking like jade does not always mean it is.
If you really knew what you were talking about you would know that nephrite is considered real jade!! I research everything and am usually quite sure of an item before listing. I know the consequences of not doing so. Thank you for commenting!!
