The listing, Very Special Pin & Heart-hooped Earrings has ended.
This set I know about. It's a heartfelt story behind the pin. The earrings were part of an estate sale locally however the PIN!
The pin is another story. I purchased it in the year it is dated. It is actually one of the last pieces made by the gentleman who signed it. He was an older black man who was a regular vendor in the French Quarters of New Orleans, La. A joy to speak with, full of smiles and friendly to all. I met him in 2005, just before Katrina hit New Orleans.
Having much family living there, we would frequently go to N.O. to visit. Once we were able to return there, one of the first places we went to was the French Quarters. I searched for this man to purchase more of his work and did find his stand still in operation. I'm sad to say he did not survive the hurricane and it is now his son who mans the booth.
If you have a heart for jazz, and would like to have a piece of hand made art from a precious soul then I am willing to share. I am only sharing this one. The other I will not let go. It was a black angel....... Maybe his own.
May God bless his family and all who receives his art work.
