Some years ago, I bought a collection from an English gentleman that included some artifacts that he had found with his metal detector. All of the artifacts were archived on a database called the Portable Antiquities Scheme. Each artifact has a description of what was found and where. All of these artifacts have database numbers and can be looked up online. I will be putting these on from time to time.

A Roman probably from the Flavian Dynasty around the late 1st century. It is very worn and corroded and hard to tell what it is, letting you know now. It is still a neat piece of history. Coin measures 22.8mm in diameter, 2.3mm thick and weighs 4.96 grams. It is about the size of a quarter. You will get the coin and the original paperwork.
