Pretty stone, purple to blue depending on the light. It's about the size of a dime, oval with pretty facets. I don't know much about gemstones, got this in a yard sale box. From what I read on Wikipedia it is a semi-precious gem that can be used in jewelry. Some specimens glow in ultraviolet light. I have no way to test this one to see if it does or not. The tag that you see in the picture came with the stone. ALL LISTIA RULES APPLY!! Most of the things I sell are shipped free in the USA only, (Which means it costs more to send.).
