and parents, you counted your baby's fingers and toes when they were born, right? my doctor ex-husband counted less in his er every july fourth holiday. as an animal rights activist and lover of children, i abhor this day. ers fill with children losing fingers and eyes, and shelters fill with petrified animal. and let's not forget the roads filled with drunken drivers. it's become more of a holiday of independence from common sense!
