Questions & Comments
Matt and I went to the evergreen state college at the sate time, many, many years ago. His strip "Life in Hell," ran it the campus newspaper.Twelve or so years later I met his mom, Marge (sweetest, funniest gal you'd ever like to meet) and his dad, Homer (yes, bald head, and potbelly)....quite a cinematic genius ahead of his time. Matt drew Bart on a Conference T-shirt for me (which proptly got stolen), and I later thanked him in a letter. Much to my surprise......a year later, I found out that it was "revealed: on the show that Sideshow Bob's middle name was the same as my last name (a very unusual Dutch Name). I have been particularlly fond of Simpsoms-stuff. THanks for listing. I will be watching.
I'm sooo envious. I've been a huge Simpsons fan ever since the Tracy Ulman show! The characters are all great and the humor is unequaled. Thanks for the comment :)
Yes, it is more than twenty years ago..... I richly remember Tracy Ullman's show... and, if I am not mistaken, we are talkin' more like, ah, 30 years... this is 2011, right? I had to look up the first episode, but what I got was 12/17/89-1 Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire I think it was the one where Satan's Little Helper (their dog) was rescued for Christmas. I didn't look up Tracy's show, but it had to be a couple years before that..... Boy, are we ancient, or what?
