Missouri Ozarks Prickly Pear Cactus

The winner will recieve two of my Cactus Plants.Each Cactus will have 3 prongs.These are 6 to 14 inches tall.

These cactus are easily grown in dry, sandy or gravelly, well-drained soils in full sun. May be grown in clay soils as long as drainage is good.Plants often spread in the wild to form colonies as pads break off and root nearby. Similarly, plants are easily propagated by cuttings.

Flowers bloom in June-July.Showy bright yellow 2-3" diameter flowers

Zones 4-9 Very low maintenance

Attracts birds hummingbirds and butterflies and the flowers have a fragrant smell

Happy Bidding Oh yeah these do have thorns are spines (Prickly Pear)

I have never grown them inside so really dont know for sure.Sorry I couldnt be of more help.Maybe someone else will chime in that knows.

I just looked it up and you can grow them inside. Plant them in a mixture of soil, pumice and sand and only water lightly when the soil is completely dry. Pretty cool! I may have to get some of them!
