These draw birds, bees, ladybugs, every beautiful winged garden angel. They also taste very good when you harvest them.

How do you eat then? Just the seeds? Do the seeds from the mammoth taste different than a regular sunflower?

They produce regular seeds to eat. Harvest them and let them dry out. When I want to eat them, sometimes I eat them plain, untoasted. Sometimes I soak them in salt water for about 30 minutes. Drain them, I put them on a cookie sheet and toast them for a few minutes in the oven, turn them and toast again for a few minutes. They are delicious.

You can toast the mesquite beans too. Those have a smoky taste and are amazing to eat. It makes growing one a huge benefit. You can also ground seeds into a powder and use it for flour. It is gluten free.

That person never contacted me for a GIN. However a GIN offer would not affect this auction. I have plenty of seeds and more sunflowers growing outside. I am quite fair and try to make all auctions fun and fair so no worries. Good luck with the bidding.
