Egyptian Walking Onions AKA Winter Onions. This listing is for at least 6 small bulbettes...possibly more depending on size at the time you win the listing.

The entire plant is edible at some point during its growth. Stalks can get tough when old, but wonderful and tender when young. You can eat the onions in the ground or the bulbettes before flowering. Season soups, salads, meats, relish etc.

Plant in most any climate and soil. Easy to grow and multiply. Can plant any time of the year. Will die back in the late fall and regrow late winter.

Called the walking onion because of how they spread. The stalks develop tiny bulbs and when they mature to a point the stalk will fall over allowing the bulbettes to burrow and root themselves nearby and thus 'walk' all over the garden. Easy to control growth by frequent harvesting and replanting in desired areas.
