Description
The listing, 5 Hosta 'Pilgrim' Seeds, 2010 has ended.
Hosta 'Pilgrim' is a large variety that gets pale lavender flowers. This plant is for your full shade to part shade garden. Hostas don't do well in sun. I received babies of this plant from a friend this past year and they grew big and flowered for me. I live in the woods in zone 6 and the slugs and deer did not bother with this Hosta. The photo is from Dave's Garden.com. My photos of this Hosta were lost to a computer virus. :-p
Due to current economic circumstances, I will only be shipping on Fridays.
Thanks! I fanned you back. No, this is not an annual. Hostas come from Japan, originally, and they are perennials. The leaves come up first, every spring, followed by the purple flowers in summer. The plant dies back in winter, but will pop up again a little bigger each year, sometimes accompanied by "pups", or baby plants that grow from the parent plant via underground rhizomes. :-)
