This Lavatera Trimestris Rose Mallow is readily started by flower seeds, and it has extra large 4 - 5 inch bright rose colored flowers with lighter veining. It literally glows pink! This shrub-like plant grows quickly and blooms heavily. The flowers will bloom for many weeks if the faded blooms are removed and where the summers are not too hot. The plant can re-grow the following spring if seed falls on bare ground. Rose Mallow attracts butterflies, beneficial insects and hummingbirds.
