This scarf is used with some picks and snags but no holes (see photo #3). It could have been my sister's. Since Mother passed I have been going through her closets and finding things of my sister's (who was killed 52 years ago next month) that Mother had kept all these years. The last photo is of my sister when she was about 15 or 16 with her hair tied back with a scarf. Do not remember if it was this one or not. My feeling is that this scarf is not that old, but I do not know where Mother got it, and when I look at it...I think of my sister. I have so many things that I KNOW were hers and I have promised my kids to cut back on the hording. :-(

There is still plenty of wear left and would be great addition to a 50's or 60's costume...no tags and I cannot tell if it is nylon, or what...sorry.
