Falling Up by Shel Silverstein....This is a FANTASTIC book! If any of you fellow Listians remember reading one of Silverstein's poem books when you were a kid, you know this is a must have for your children & grandchildren. Really fun to read outloud to children. I find it more fun to read as an adult than it was as a child. Just brilliant.

Wow...Just, wow. I always loved this book. I used to have a set of his books that had where the sidewalk ends, a light in the attic, and, falling up. They were ruined while moving, so I'm really gonna try to bid on this! Fanned, great auction!

SO SWEET...Thanks Heather. You know whats great...we have all age groups (almost) commenting on this book and of it's wonderful memories it created for us. It's nice for something to remind us of pleasant times, when the world seems adamant on us all focusining on the bad. I hope we all can learn to focus on the good memories instead of the negative ones(which I find myself doing too often).

I came across this and as a book lover, you guys should look for some of his lesser known books too :). I am not sure if you have heard of these two but I loved them as a kid (along with his other books of course!): "The Missing Piece" and "The Missing Meets the Big O". Those were so wonderful for someone who felt out of place as a kid.
Now, I feel like going over and reading all my books by him again. I have the one listed, the Missing Piece Series, The Giving Tree, A Light in the Attic (falling apart though :() and Where the Sidewalk Ends. I need to replace The Giving Tree too as that one is older than I am!!

It is his signature but I'm sure it was mass produced on all the books when they re-published it. I thought it was a neat addition making it a little unique and thats why I photographed it. By the way I love your auction with a cutom portrait we send and you E-graphed it like that. If I understood it right I would Love to win!!!!

I was obsessed with Where The Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein!! I used to check it out from the library over and over when I was in elementary school. I fancied myself a bit of a poet back then....lol.... Fanned and watching!!!!!!!!!

This is amazing!! My son would just LOVE this!! He is addicted to Shel Silverstein!! I got him "A Light In the Attic" Audio CD and it just took off from there!! He is always on the website playing the games and he knows every poem from "A Light In The Attic" by heart!! He also loves "Don't Bump The Glump"!! & "Where the sidewalk Ends" which was my favorite as a kid!! I could go on and on...lol. Watching, fanned & hope to bid if I get my credits up!!
