Giving away a Magellan Roadmate GPS unit. This is a very nice, full-featured unit with a couple problems. Right now, it works great for showing your current position, direction, and speed (see second photo taken right around the corner from my house).

Problems:
1. The touchscreen doesn't work.
2. The battery is dead.

What this GPS is good for:
Showing your current position. If you plug it in, after a minute it will default to the map view and you can see where you are.

What this GPS is not good for:
Turn-by-turn directions or zooming in/out on the map.

If someone wants to try getting the touchscreen working, this would be a great unit. Giving it away to the high bidder. Free shipping!

Auction is for ONLY the GPS unit. There is no suction cup mount, and no power cord. It will take any mini-USB phone charger-type cord.

If the battery is dead how did you get pictures of it ON? just asking because you said "second photo taken right around the corner from my house" which means it needed to be ON

It runs just fine when it's plugged in (well, except for the touchscreen)... it just won't run strictly off the battery - it needs plug-in power. At home, I had it plugged into my home cell phone charger, and in the car, I had it plugged into my cigarette lighter cell phone charger. Unfortunately, I don't have any extra chargers so I can't include one in this auction.

Guess ima win this to resell on another site for cash i wont be able to use it without a charger. sorry i bid on it. would it be possible to get a refund on my credits and ill leave you good feedback either way. it doesn't matter. its really up to you if you want to spend the money on shipping it to me.
