you can probaly go to the Tmoble web site and fill out a form asking them to give you the unlock code. i had a AT&T phone and they sent me the code with no problem and didn"t cost a dime. the only reason they wouldn"t give you the code is if the esn number is bad because of not paying the bill or fulfilling the contract on the phone. hope this helps
