Beautiful & Unique Vintage Dangling Earrings made from metal and WOOD! Looks like they were hand made!
Each piece consists of; a hoop-shaped round metal structure that is split to allow the whole bottom half to be free dangling from the top half. The top half has a small semicircle closing off beneath the piercing area with its own little solid hoop. The earring post is hinged and snaps and holds in place very tightly. Also hanging from the top half of the hoop is a free dangling dark crescent moon shaped piece of wood. It looks to have been stained a dark brown color and has a light shiny / glossy clear coat. I suspect these had to of been hand made because of their uniquely rough appearance.

I tried to show the pivot point of the dangling parts the best I could by standing them up. Also notice that the grain direction and pattern on both sides of the wood is different, they must have used a thin piece of plywood. Such an incredibly unique design. I've never seen such a cool, creative, yet so simple earring design!
I found these at the local flea market from someone selling estate sale items. Not sure how old they are or what they are made out of. There are no markings on either of them.
