Botanical Name: Calendula Officinalis
Uses: Natural health, Cosmetics, Crafting; Since antiquity Calendula has been known as an herb that could aid in comforting the heart and mending wounded spirits. Today it is primarily used much as it was in the past, to treat skin wounds and abrasions as an anti-inflammatory, making it helpful in treating sprains and other such injuries where muscle or joints swell up uncomfortably.
Also known as pot marigolds. Product consists of whole and broken flowers; not ideal for crafting purposes. Calendula is often used in lotions and oils to keep the skin smooth and soft, and in tinctures for relief from skin inflammation and irritation. We do NOT recommend ingesting this herb.
