This set of Guatemalan Worry Dolls was made in (SURPRISE) Guatamala. I have had them for many years and it is time they went to help someone else. According to legend, children (works for adults too), tell one worry to each doll when they go to bed at night. Then they put the dolls under ther pillow. In the morning, the dolls have taken their worries away.There are 6 dolls in this set,, each one about 1" high. They are made of bits of wood with handpainted faces and colorful thread or pieces of woven cloth is wrapped around them for clothing. Their tiny wooden box is hand made also and hand painted. These are not factory made, rather made by local craftspeople.
