Mom has created and decorated this awesome yellow birdhouse with a colorful checkerboard roof!! So, so cute with all her touches on it!! This measures 9" tall, the base is 5"x5", the bottom roof is 6"x4" and the top roof is 3.5"x3". It is made of wood and the paint used is safe for the birdies. This is a birdhouse, not a feeder. All listia rules apply and I will ship this FREE!!

Is there a way to hang it?

Some of the birdhouses Mom makes she puts a hook or a rope for hanging and others she leaves for the person to decide. This one does not come with a hook/rope. So easy to screw a hook into the top and use a rope or twine to hang it. Hope this helps! Great question!! Thank you and good luck!!! :-)

Do you think your mom would put something on it so it can hang? I love this but would not know what to do to hang it. I have the pole and everything. : )

My husband said he will throw in a hook that you can just screw into the birdhouse wherever you want and then you would use your own twine or rope to hang it. The birdhouse is very lightweight so the main weight comes from the birds and the nest, which are lightweight also. The hook is very easy to screw in. Do you think that would work? This is a lovely awesome looking birdhouse! I have a question? doyou know how big the whole opening is on it? I have 2 pet cockatiels. I was just wondering if they would be able to go in and out of it! Thank you

Hi, the bottom opening is 1.5" and the top opening is 1". I honestly have no idea if your birdies will fit. I do know that the birdies who use this to nest, like the holes small for security, They have an amazing way to make themselves small to get in. Of course obviously a large bird would not fit. The birdhouse I have has finches in it. I hope this helps hun!! Good Luck!!

Yes this helps a great deal finches are much smaller birdies than a cockatiel It is a beautiful piece of art work but too little for what I needed Thank you and God Bless
