The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Romantic story told by a man who marries the woman of his dreams but one day finds her helpless and forgetting so starts to tell her a story about his life and as he gets close to the end does she start to remember or not. Will have to read the book to find out. Book is pretty true to the movie as well IMO.
