The listing, Compaq NX7010 Laptop has ended.

Built for XP... I put a new 80gig hard drive and an extra gig of RAM in it and loaded a fresh copy of Windows 7. Took some time to find the correct drivers, but everything is working correctly. Not the fastest laptop around, but it's great for surfing the web and running word or excel. It has as DVD-R drive, 4 USB ports and a NIC.

The only thing that does not work is the battery. It is dead. Will need to be replaced. It works fine as long as it is plugged into the wall outlet.

so it would play cd-rom games? I wish it still had XP because I want to play games meant for windows 95/98.

It would just depend on the game I guess. This is not a super fast laptop. I would only recommend it surfing the web and Microsoft office....definitely not a gaming laptop
