Description

The listing, Coin of Commemoration $10 coin from Mexico, 2001 has ended.

Commemorative issue
First issue,Turn of the Millennium, which is the first image you see. the coin up for bid, was made a year later.

Obverse
In the center, the national shield in sculpted relief, with the inscription "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" (United States of Mexico) forming a semicircle above it

Lettering: ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS

Reverse
In the center, the circle of the Sun Stone representing Tonatiuh with the fire mask. In the peripheral ring, top center, the symbol "$10"; to the left the mint year, and to the right the symbol of the Mint of Mexico "M"; at the bottom, the date. The frame is smooth with an uneven edge.

Lettering: $10 AÑO 2001 M

Edge
Milled

The first image is a promo shot the coin, the others are my poor best at getting a close in shot. The coin has seen much use since its minting, with much wear and as you can see, at 11 o'clock there, is a flat spot and the edge over all is pitted, but it is still a workable piece.
