The listing, Legends Present: A BNIP Avon Silvertone Swag Necklace has ended.
This auction is for a BNIP Avon Silvertone Swag Necklace. In the middle of the front of the necklace there's a teardrop pearl attached to the necklace by a little flower of clear gems & then the necklace is doubled to each side & then there's another teardrop pearl & flower of gems again.
Usually, on the clasp or the piece that holds the clasp, it could be stamped very small...it very well could be, if the instructions are there, and it's not magnetic... I have a friend that's an Avon Rep... I'll try to message her and see if she can look into it! I'll let ya know when I know!! K?? :) Deana, a Legend
Dainty, yet Elegant! Very Nice!! Avon does have Sterling Silver Jewelry, but I am not familiar with this one... Great Auction, nonetheless!! Hugs, Legend to Legend! Deana
On the back of the box that it comes in it does give instructions on how to clean sterling silver jewelry...Does that mean it's SS? How do I find out what it is?
Nay, it's Avon soo I would assume that's it's not... the clasp has a NR on it... I just did the magnet test & it's not magnetic... NO CLUE!!! :( Sorry...
Hi hun I have a special Legends Presents challenge going on and at this point is my counter of Visitors to your super listing. Thanks, Vinnie of the listia legends
@Kelly, about NR: Costume Jewelry Nancy & Rise, NY, 1987 (mark) NR Acquired by Frank Jedda, of Frank Stella and Ezra Sheena 1997 (so basically, designer costume jewelry. Napier isn't complaining :)
ixnay the abovay---now look at this: The initials on some Avon pieces (ie. NR, BW, SP, etc.) ARE NOT designer initials in spite of the many attributions seen online. This quote directly from Avon; "The initials on some of our jewelry pieces are an internal company code for our jewelry in manufacturing. This identifies the vendor who has manufactured the jewelry for us. In some cases, the same piece of jewelry could be manufactured by two different vendors." Thanks to Ronda Allman for getting this info from Avon
Hi Kelly... I have asked about whether this is Sterling or not, but even my rep, who is somewhat new, isn't sure. Either way, it is beautiful... Sorry it took me so long to get back with you, but I was about 155 miles from home since yesterday morning... Got back today, but that is all the info I could find, so far... Have a GREAT night!
