Description

The listing, Salvaged Artifacts Colonial/Post Colonial Farmstead has ended.

Some more Oldies but goodies. These artifacts were collected from a Farmstead site that fell victim to Urban development. The old Farmstead with its barn and several outbuildings was adjacent to a Shoprite Grocery Store for many years. About 2 years ago everything was leveled and a new McDonald's now sits in its spot. Myself and a buddy went out swinging detectors to see what we could dig up before the paving begun. This is a small lot of surface and detector finds. It includes Clay pipe fragments, a nice 1820 Half Penny, a thimble, suspender clips(?), and a bone mouthpiece from a pipe perhaps. FREE SHIPPING IN THE U.S.

Not right now out of fairness since I already included it in the package. If however no one bids on the lot by end of auction I will accept a GIN offer. Otherwise I'd encourage you just to bid, you may just come out below what you were thinking for GIN. Thank you for your interest!

Fantastic old lot....
Shame to see a McDonald's setting in that spot now...

Agreed, it's always a shame when you see something that has stood strong for centuries getting leveled for something like a chain store that's designed to look like a thousand others across the country. In Germany I saw 17th and 18th century buildings preserved and repurposed to house modern chain stores from Dunkin Donuts to Foot Locker.

That coin pictured would you do a GIN just for that?
