This is a very old promotional product! Note the 4 digit phone number and pre-zip code "Chicago 16, Ill". Resembling a pad of note paper it is actually a pad of leaves of soap! "The New Miracle Soap" is what they called it. You could carry soap with you and use it any time you could find some water. There is a very small "nick" in the bottom of the cover...see image. The whole back of the pad is taken up with promotional information for Jacob J. Vargo Coal Feed Fuel Oil in Perkasie, PA and a note to use Pennsylvania Anthracite Coal "It lasts longer!"If you love old oil or coal promotional items or just unusual items, this is for you collection!
