The listing, Very Unusual!! 10 Ground Cherry Seed Pods!! has ended.

Each seed pod contains many seeds!!
Some of the photos are mine, some taken off the internet.
FROM THE INTERNET: "How to grow ground cherries:
They are easy, easy, easy. Plant a small plant in a sunny spot. Give it plenty of room. In Wisconsin, fruits start to ripen in late July, and continue until frost. I suspect ground cherries will be like dill. You only need to plant it once. Next year volunteers will sprout all over the garden. Right now that sounds appealing to me. I will let you know if I change my mind next year.
HOW TO HARVEST:
Ripe ground cherries fall off the plant and land on the ground. Hence the name. The papery husk keeps it clean. Simply pick up the yellow ripe fruit. These “cherries” are easy to reach, so this could be a good job for short people.
At first, we did this about every three days. Now we harvest every day.
First we made a simple, right from the garden salsa. Then we added them to mixed fruit salad. Now we keep them in a bowl on the counter and eat them out of hand. We hope to harvest enough for jam or chutney soon."

You will receive ten ground cherries, in the husk. Just mash, dry, and get seeds out. Dry the seeds thoroughly, store in cool dry place until spring. Plant in early spring when danger of frost is past or plant in pot and move outside later. Mine had ripe fruit by mid July even with our drought, we're in zone 6/7.

Interesting, I used to see these not knowing what they were. What do they taste like?? Do they really taste like cherries or are they like start fruit for salads?

I have problems describing the taste, it isn't anything like a cherry. It's kinda sweet but not overly sweet. Very hard to describe because it doesn't taste like anything I've ever had before. They say it makes great pies, I just eat them raw and fresh. Mine this year were pretty small, don't know if that is normal or not, this was my first year to raise any and we had a drought.
