Is this a comic type book or a chapter book?

It is neither. In this book it allows the reader to decide what path it would like Blossom to take. For example: "if Blossom wants to conduct am experiment in the professor's lab , than turn to page 28, but if you would like Blossom to fight the professor's new robot, than turn to page 40." As the reader continues the story, it will ask again which path the reader wants Blossom to take. Once the reader finishes the story the reader can again read the story by changing paths that the Powerpuff girls go on. I hope this is of help to you.
