This is the comb to use while you straighten your hair. It is slotted in the middle so when you push it together the hair goes through.. I hope that makes sense lol

Im sorry I dont move dates forward. As far as working for the hair I dont have a clue. I never used it myself and It doesnt specify on the website. Im sorry I couldn't be of more help.
