The 34" measurement stated, have you or is it verified? I wear exactly 33.1" shorts but mine say size 1.... But my clothing tape measurer says 33.1 inches.... So have these been hand-measured by you? Thanks for replying :)

Hi hun, yes I measured them.I'm not quite sure what you mean when you said yours is 33.1 ? Do you mean the shorts that your wearing? All brands run differently in sizes and measurements.They say size 9 so I'm not sure why the measurements are quite so different. Sorry if this don't help.thanks hun

Lol I'm totally lost. Too. I'm a size 3 & my waist is 331/2 .I do believe that it all depends on where people consider their waist to be .I measured mine right above my hipbone cause that's where I wear my pants.lol this is way to confusing.. I just don't know. As far as the shorts looking huge for a size 9 you can't really go by that cause it really depends on who the maker is. I can wear some 3's perfect & other 3's I can't even zip up.

It's not really that confusing. A tape measurer (and I'm using a clothing tape measurer) is not only 1,2,3,4, etc. it has increments inbetween. The exact measurements are precisely 33 inches point one. For miss me brand, I wear a 25 size. For Hydrollic, size 1, for true religion, 30. It's all dependent on the producers as you said earlier. So as long as an actual tape measurer size is given, then there would be no worries at all my dear listian ☺️
