***The story behind the card***
In the winter of 1973 there was speculation that the San Diego Padres were going to move to Washington D.C. The soon to be team had not been named so Topps put Washington National League as the team name. However, in the Spring of 1974 it was determined the San Diego would keep the Padres. However, the first few batches of 1974 Topps cards had all the Padres labeled as "Washington Nat'l Lea" It was corrected soon after. These cards are much scarcer than any other card in the 1974 set.

The card has good color, but has a surface crease on the back.
