These are costume pieces that mimic bold statement pieces made trendy in the '80s and '90s. These are costume pieces only. I'm not sure of the metal used, but it is very lightweight. The necklace is actually a very comfortable weight. I didn't try on the earrings but they are not heavy either. The necklace features a hammered texture that is really quite beautifully done. The center "stone" in the necklace as well as the earrings are a very good imitation of amber. They are translucent with flecks throughout.
