The listing, 1924 10 Reichsmark has ended.
This German money is obviously worn and has been folded. It was found in a very old abandoned mansion that my father bought years ago when I was a child. There were many antiques and lots of junk we had to go through before we could even fix the place up enough to live in it. The house had been been in the 1800's and it looked as if the occupants had left in a big hurry.
Listia shows I haven't replied to these although I did in a comment box of my own below, but I want to clean up my page that says I haven't replied so excuse me while I put short replies on these. :-)
Its like a dollar bill that has been folded a lot and carried around in a wallet for a long time. It is soft instead of crisp and has obvious creases from being folded or dog eared. It's not like it's been wadded up...just folded a lot. Judging by the folds it has been folded in half length wise and then in half again so it was folded in a little square. Does this help?
Oh, as I was looking at it a lot closer, where it has been folded a lot there is the tiniest bit of a tear about 4 mm in length. It is barely noticeable.
My parents had it before me. Like I mentioned above, it was found in an old abandoned mansion that my dad bought. I was probably 8 or 9 years old at the time and my parents kept it in their dresser until about two years ago when they gave it to me. Between them and me about 45 years. The reason I am willing to part with it is because I have a whole wad of German money just like it that was found in the old house. So figured I'd share a few pieces of it and keep the rest.
