Can you explain how this works? And can it be used with any cricut machine?

I am not 100% familiar with how it works my husband purchased it for me when he bought me the cricut explore but it is not needed for the explore. From what I've read it works with the Cricut,Cricut Create,and Cricut Expression machines. It is a universal overlay for use with the Cricut cartridges. Hope that helped :)
