Offered is an approximately 4" by 6" french postcard as noted on the reverse Printed in France for the 1944 Warner Brothers film or movie LE PORT DE L'ANGOISSE or TO HAVE AND HAVE NOT in english, based in part on Ernest Hemmingway's book of that name.This was Lauren Bacall's first film. She was 19. Setting was pre- World War II. Unused postcard reverse shows the printer name and the name of the film and its stars in french.
Great international color postcard. Shows stars Humphrey Bogart, Walter Brennan and Lauren Bacall. A production by Howard Hawks who purchased the film rights from Howard Hughes.
Later versions of this movie were The Breaking Point in 1950 and The Gun Runners in 1958. Postcard is in excellent condition.
