Up for auction are some of my cuttings from my Goldfish plant. They are easy to root in light medium soil. The plant grows well in bright light and watering well once a week. You will receive 3 healthy cuttings.

OK thank you It's a beautiful plant and I don't want to ruin it if I win. Reading all I can find on this plant.It will need additional rooting when it arrives, right? In case you haven't guessed, I'm new at raising plants.

root the cuttings in a light medium like perlite or vermiculite, when they have roots put in your potting soil and water once a week in bright light not full sun

I don't want to sound dumb, but I am when it comes to plants. I would have tried to root them in water. Don't know what perlite or vermiculite is. I'm assuming I can buy this some place. I re-read this and from the explanation it sounds like this perlite and vermiculite are types of flower pots,is that right? Thank you.

no there are rooting medium or soil like material that are used for rooting or starting out plants. available at most garden centers

Boy was I off. always thought plants were rooted in water then transferred to a pot and soil. Thanks for the info., will take this e-mail with me when I go to the garden center.
