It is only there to give you a sense of the charm's measurement!! I do not know what kind of material was used. I can tell you that it is made of a non-precious metal. It is about a 1/2 long and 1 inch tall. Only one side of the charm has detail. You can make earrings, necklaces, bookmarks, dust plugs, embellish scrapbook pages, homemade cards, etc.. The possibilities are endless!!
