Umm in the description says like new so I've already said that they are used specifically I've used twice on my daughters hair and no they never had Velcro there a traditional plastic curler that uses clips to secure my daughters hair is past her hips and I used thees for her graduation hair style they stayed all night with the clips provide and I would never sell anything I demolished on purpose nor would I take the time to rip off Velcro off every curler I would have purchased something else if that was the case you can still buy these same curler set no Velcro plastic curler I've seen at Walmart currently and also you can buy extra clips still made by con air so yes they do stay :) more than happy to attach a photo of what I did with my daughters hair and how these type of curlers work

I have these exact ones. There suppose to hair velcrow on them. In guessing there used? And you took the velcrow off. Because the hair sticks to it?
