Up for auction is a vintage shell cameo pendant/brooch. I won this from a previous auction here on Listia. I am finding out that cameo's just aren't my taste in jewelry. This was taken from the previous auction: Beautiful carved shell pendant / brooch cameo that measures little over 1 inch in size. There are no chips on this cameo, when a light is shined upon it the entire silhouette can be seen, the figure is facing right (an antique cameo, where as the left facing cameo's are more common). The facial features are well defined. An antique or vintage piece will usually have a plain "c-clasp" on it. As you can see there is a curve in the back of the cameo. The gold frame around the cameo, there are no marking of this being gold, however, that does not mean that this is not gold filled, some cameo's are, but do not have the hallmark. The details on this cameo are beautiful and would make a wonderful addition to your jewelry collection.
